Today at the fairgrounds I switched from using the 10" and 8" coil to the 5" accelerator .
You cant cover a lot of ground with this coil but it picks the goodies out very well. My first silver find was the 1916 merc ( I tried to wish a d on it before I turned it over) And with my luck it wasn't to be.
The next Silver Hit at 6" was the 1918 standing Quarter. Good visible date on it and better than the pic shows
Then I picked up a Rosie to top of the day.
Indian heads are 1887 - 1900 - 1908
Wheat's 40 - 44 - 41- 16 - 25
And a silver ring !
Then a thin copper disc the same size as a penny that is flat on both sides
