Pulled a 36, 48, and 51 dime out of the same area i been going too. That rain will just light that silver up with the etrac. HH

That's the only way that I would be convince that there's more to the new machine... Is it the machine giving you an edge or just getting better at hunting the site... I certainly get that not all machines are created equally, but just how much better is an etrac than an Explorer in capable hands???? I would love to get my hands on an etrac for a few days on a trial basis... My point is... I still go back to sites I've hunted in the past and continue to find more goodies (others have done the same)... Several variables come into play: Maybe I'm just getting better with the machine, moisture in the soil at the time, different approach angel... also, don't underestimate what a winters frost heave can do to a targets ability to be detected... Believe me, I would love to believe that a particular machine will give me greater results than I'm getting now, I just don't want to spend $1400 to find out all I'm getting is marginally better performance... Guess I'm a show me kinda guy.

Hey MINELAB.... You listening, veteran detectorist looking for a challenge... Send me an etrac and if I unequivocally find more premium targets in my well hunted sites, I will pay full price for the detector.... If not, I'll send it back! Hey Vern, should I hold my breath?

V-man i have had the explorer 2 and alot of others and i can only tell you that you will not go wrong with the etrac. A guy that hunted with me at this site had a whites and he only found one merc dime and i found forty silvers. Not counting the tokens and wheats and stuff i found at this site. I just got me a whites v3 and going to try it and see what kind of machine it is. So far i like it but don't think its going to beat that etrac and those deep finds. I found one silver quarter with a metal gas cap on top of it and it hit at that quarter mark is the reason i dug it. I can't say enough about that etrac. Hope this helps and HH.
