Happy New Years everyone. Here is my 1st goldy goodie of 2007. It has 3 small opals and is marked 14k. I did score a few silver coins but they are in pretty bad shape. The lake I hunt eats them up for some reason.
I found the ring right on the waters edge in about 2 feet of water with my old Beachscan mk II. The water was pretty cold but I ruffed it out and broke out the PI pro. I got to about chest deep and there where plenty of targets but it was getting late and the water was really cold so I called it a day. Need to get me a wet suit  if I want to hunt without freezin to death  <p>

How cold was the water? A wet suit sure makes a difference if you are out for more than an hour. My buddy Besco picked up a shorty wet suit and I think he was wishing he had gone for the farmer johns. I have one of each and it gives me a lot of versatility, as even 70 degree water will suck the life out of you if you spend enough time in it.

Cheers,

BDA:cool:
