Went back to where there was supposedly a civil war skirmish, found whats possibly a lead ingot (is lead) more musket balls than shown, and best bit of all is the lead remains from a mold, can even see bevelled edges where pistol/musket balls have been cut off.

That’s an incredible find! I’m assuming the lead was poured into a soapstone mold of some kind. What I don’t understand is how the huge rectangular piece is still intact. Is there any evidence of a mold seam on the balls where the molds would come together? That would be a museum worthy piece in the USA.
