more wheats, still no silver............

I just cannot figure out what I am doing wrong, I went to that house today and I detected slow I was there from 10am to 2:30pm, and it is a small yard. I found 3 more wheats,
(27 total now)1950, 1942, 1919, they were about 4-5 inches down. I do not understand where the silver is all at?? I asked him again today if anyone has detected that house, and he said he has lived there for 38 years now and no one has detected the yard.

any clues on what the token thing is with the eagle? there are no marks on it anywhere, back is smooth, and what about the piece with the flower, any ideas??

Wow ! those are terrific finds! I like all of them; that eagle ? is so interesting..and those "wheaties" are really nice finds..

I'm wondering if that flower ? is a lady's buckle of some sort?

Great detecting, goew4ever.

As for the silver...it's got to be there; I 'm wondering if the ACE 250...that's what you are using....I think...maybe it is better for beach hunting? Not sure, but for some reason you are missing the silver...maybe it is deeper..how deep does the ACE detect?

a WWI button design. That is the Great Seal. They still make that design I believe. The other item appears to be a very old sash buckle. Nice finds. the Silver will come by wheat #39 I think! :)

You will find a merc dime I think? 1944 I think! :)

I've detected a steel BB (from a shotgun shell) at 9 inches. Silver has to be there and I can't imagine that the 250 won't find silver...not knowing the Garrett company.

What does the letters around the outer edge of the Great Seal say? The design is pretty much the same as used for the U.S. Army and Air Force...though I have never seen this particular 'medallion' before.

Great finds. Do you have any silver coins you can test the 250 with? Maybe I should drag out my 250 and my coin strips and let ya know where to expect the silver to fall on the display. Think that might help?

Good finds, goes4ever! The silver has to come and I'm sure your 250 Ace will find it, if and when you go over silver or gold! Why don't you air-test your ACE 250 with different coins and some of silver and gold coins and with different ring sizes! This will give you an idea whether or not your detector is working as it should! There is no reason at all not to be finding silver, as it is in the high numbers on my White's Spectrum and the sound should be very clear to hear! Mine sings out over silver but the deep ones are more quiet and soft!

Well, keep going and you shall find silver! Don't give up and enjoy every day that you are able to detect! God's world is beautiful!

God Bless!
