Grabbed the Omega this morning and hooked up with Steve, fellow club member, and we hit the woods nearby the Mississippi river. Excluding trash, over all not a lot of targets, but I did manage to dig a few keepers. Most notable were the Eagle button, couple of mini drops and 2 silver quarters. Got the 36 Washington near the edge of a stretch of woods and the 1898 Barber well back into the woods. The 2 mini's and Eagle button all came from the edge of a steep ravine and within a few feet of each other. Steve dug some curio's and eyeballed a mans wallet along a log after kicking some leaves to check on a weak signal. The wallet probably had been there a while as the D L had expired in 1993. No cash in it, but a couple of credit cards were. Had on the 10" concentric and was digging about anything that chirped. Including a horseshoe and the head of a claw hammer. They are currently soaking. Low 70's to upper in the forecast and winter woods hunting here in the south is about over. Have a great weekend everyone. HH jim tn
