Morning woods stroll. :fisher:

Un-fortunately, no silver again, but did get 3 wheat cents this outing. 36, 41 and 44d. Was hunting an area between two trails and dug a few more targets then is usually the norm. Not sure what the yellow and silver looking piece is. At first I thought it was one side to a jack knife, and it may well be. Dug 1 nice round ball that was hiding down under a root as well as a couple other pieces of lead. The small gold looking band is another bird band. Really small and even with the pin pointer was a tough find from the dirt. Got a bouncy 50ish reading and from 3" or so deep pulled up a green stocking cap. Waved the coil back over the spot and no beep. Scanned the cap and found the target, which turned out to be the ROTC pin. Lovely morning, and I guess the 3 Merry Widows thought so too, as they were out and about. Take care. Spring is coming to your neck of the woods......sometime. HH jim tn

I'd wager nothing much gets past you...what with all the bird bands you find...thats 2 that I remember you posting in the past few years..Nice work!:clapping:

Super nice day you had. Thanks for sharing.

Jim it looks to me like the yellow and silver item is part of a lock back pocket knife. would bet on it. I am always amazed at your finds. Thanks for helping us bored northerners to be a little less bored.

Nice going Jim. You always find neat stuff.

I was around 300 or 400 hundred yards from where you were detecting. All that sunshine and 63 degree weather made me think of Spring.

I found a bunch of nickels and clad coins with that detector that Elton pushed me into getting. :)

You'd think with all those nickels, I'd get at least one gold ring.

It was a beautiful day to be out swinging. There is gold out there, Gerald. If it beeps, save for screw caps, I'm pretty much digging everything right now. Maybe our paths will cross tomorrow. HH jim tn
