We have been running back and forth to the hospital as Sherry's Mom is in here and she really has little clue where she is or anything. Sometimes she remembers names and faces. Other times she sits and stares or repeats over and over a friends name, colors and numbers. Very sad. Sometimes she is destructive...ripping Sherry's glasses from her face and trying to destroy them or the little Leprichan doll she got and riped it to shreds and ripping its eyes out. Very very sad...but we feel there is hope that this place is incapable of giving.
Sherry had to argue with a doctor to get her sent to Traverse City for better care than she is getting here. The doctor has made his mind up and stoppped looking for a cause and cure...he just wants to send her home...not an option.
We said we wanted a 2nd opinion...he gave us his opinion of what the other doctors at Traverse City will say based on his pre-determination...not a second opinion in my book.
The hospital at Traverse City has room for her and is going to take her via ambulance so it won't be a cheap trip but she will get better care.
So just hanging around at the moment waiting for an ambulance to show up to take her to the other hospital. Sure wish the price of gas was cheaper and Sherry didn't have so many other things on her mind as well. Even her business has to take a back seat to all that is going on at the moment.
