It has rained frogs all day and there is flooding everywhere. 100 MPH winds at the coast with flooding, highways closed, and lots of power outages One town towards the coast got 9.8 inches of rain. That my boys is a frog strangler. Glad the high winds stayed down there. We've had the lights on all day it's been so dark. Just lovely tecting weather. I braved it for awhile to mail off my Xmas exchange package and a package to Mary. DON"T FORGET MARY FLEES THE SCENE DECEMBER 18 if ya all want to send her a card.

I changed my mind about that coal I was going to send you....wait till you see the fresh snow I sent your way.

I'll take a little snow. Was born and raised in it and spent every free moment out in it when I was a kid, sledding, ice skating, tobagganing, hopping cars on our sleds, going down "Cemetary Hill" on our sleds and hitting about a " runner smoking" 60 MPH by the time we hit bottom, crossing a road, jumping a ditch, and going under a barb wire fence into a field..

Are you all set for some snow hunting?

I love the fact that the winds in Lincoln city were estimated because the anameter blew away. Here in the mouth of the Cowlitz river part of the P.N.W. things stayed fairly calm....45 m.p.h. gusts and the dikes held. Just a little ways up i 5 things have come to an absolute stand still though.
Where are you located Uncle Willy???

That's like the meters used to meaure wind speed of tornados. They only go up to 300 MPH and then they break and a puny twister will generate that.. I have friends in Tidewater and they lucked out. Guess Lincoln City had some problems. I'm high and dry in Portland, course we had a lot of flooding here, streets, freeways, etc.
