Mounting PI on ROV

Can I mount a PI detector on an ROV? I plan to make the ROV capable to function at 500 feet or so. Would PI technology have an issue at these depths?
Also can I attach the control box directly to a computer? Any ideas for attaching?

Yes, PI can be adapted to ROV operation. Here is a current example. It has three channels to give both depth of burial of a pipe, and steering information to the ROV.
