Mr Bills modifications Improve IDX

I am happy to gain control of ground balance and threshold settings. These additional setting options turned a good machine into a great machine. Ive used the machine about a hr now and am impressed with the noticeable depth and stability that my IDX Pro is producing. Thanks Mr Bill for the great service . A recent find in my backyard where a old clothes line use to be. 16" gold chain with no clasp. The reading was in the small ring/tab indicator ,but solid tone at 3" deep.

That chain is huge! The IDX is a great machine What coil did you get the chain with and were you using all metal or disc? Thanks for the post I will keep an eye on those clothes lines.

I was using the stock coil. All metal setting. The 950 black max 950 is large for the conditions a lot of targets in between trash has me wanting a smaller coil. The threshold is my favorite setting you can hear the machine working for you. And Manual ground balance reins in IDX. deep find ability. The mods are great after hunting 1 hr 20 items of differnent metals deep. I was able to trace my outside water pipes . 8 /10" deep. .

Open up the discrimination range using the blacksand feature using zero or low discrimination and the modded IDX Pro will hit even smaller gold. Actually it will hit small gold as good and even better than some higher frequency detectors.
