Mud volleyball court finds

Mark in S.E. IA

New member
Today I stopped at a fair grounds to see if they moved a round any dirt like they did last year when they did some plowing and they did. They dug 2 mud volleyball courts real close to where they did some plowing last year. The first court looked like they may have dug it a lil too deep and took out the good stuff. In that court I only found a wheat. In the second court it looked like it was not dug as deep as the first one and in that court I found a 1905 Barber dime, 1917s Merc, and a toasted ND buff " it's in real bad shape ". The dirt that they dug out for the courts was just a lil ways away and I checked it out but didn't find anything there. That's one pile of dirt that I would love to spade out and hit it with the MDer, lol

I only took a pic of the silver coins. The Buff is not worth taking a picture of, it's bad

Nice silver. What is your silver count so far this year?

It's been a slow year so far for me. I only have 27 silver coins so far. Work has really been getting in the way of my MDing, lol and I have not been finding any good places to MD.

Same here I have been working 6 days a week and have not been detecting much.
