Multi pinpointing

With a coin placed on top of coil I cant get it to go to 00 is this normal?
I get it to go to 05 even with a quarter using standard coil or 9”
Thanks for the help

Not getting it to go to 00 sounds normal.
I don't understand the rest of what you were trying to convey.

Sounds like you are trying to see if your pinpoint function is working. I would not do that by putting a coin on top of the coil first of all. My Gold Kruzer will go into overload when I do that in discrimination mode. It will go to 01 when I'm pinpointing with a coin under the coil and then go to the overload - - symbol. Did you set your pinpoint for centimeters or inches?

Thank you for the replies I thought maybe something was wrong with the coil or machine. On my other detectors (XLT,EQ 600) if the coin is that close
They say 00 so I was thinking something was wrong.

The other information was just to let you know what coil I was using.

The Nox will not say 00. It just displays the last target ID number you had before you pressed the pinpoint button. Otherwise it will just give you two dashes - - . The Nox does not give you a pinpoint depth in inches or centimeters. They tried to make it so that anyone from anywhere (language wise) would be able to use it.
