musket ball

I have a musket ball that seems to be too light to be made completely out of lead. Were musket balls composed of lead and another metal to give the light weight? It looks to be 69 caliber, along with some small buckshot that was also found with it. I heard of Buck-n-Ball. Is this what it may be?. Is this Confederate?

I have found musketballs made of a lead alloy that were lighter than lead but they're very flaky like pewter. If you found the small balls in the same hole its likely buck-n ball. I think both sides used them.
