Musketeer XS finds

Eric

New member
Had a few hours with the Musky yesterday and found quit a lot. Leadseals, bullets, musketball, coins, and a silver brooch with is broken a bit. Finds date from the 17th till 19th century. I used the 8'' slimline coil and was pretty happy I did.

Sorry for the picture quality. No patience last night..

Eric, Netherlands

One of the coins turned out to be a silver! Really didn't expect this as it was so dirty...

Nice finds. I'm surprised that there's not a Musketeer section on this forum. I just picked up a Musketeer Advantage yesterday and started playing with it and I'm impressed with its performance. .

I think they used to have one here....

There is a alternative musketeer forum launched by Sven. I have to say that I am really impressed by my old muskerteer. I detected in heavy trash. I can't count how many times I hunted this field, I did.....and many others....for years. Still the musky sniffed out a lot of items. And I'm not done yet..

p.s sent you a PM

There seems to be a Musketeer following out there.

Perhaps the powers that be will Open a Minelab Musketeer Section and find a moderator with Sven's enthusiasm to watch over it.

The Musky's are great detectors. They go deep even in bad ground plus it's the best single frequency detector I've used on our nasty beaches here. I have two Advantages one with the small coil and one with the 10 inch just because I'm to lazy to change coils.

Thanks Crazyman,

I know you are also a fan of the whites xl 6000 or XL Pro just like me. But yes, this musky really amazed me. Top performer in my fields! I also have a spare 10'' coil that I will mount on a straight rod soon. I have seen pictures of your set up and they look well ballanced to me.

Regards, Eric

Hi,
Glad your enjoying your Musketeer!
Nice finds to boot.
Did you get your ground balancing figured out?

For all those interested in learning more about the Musketeer, I have started a website just for Musketeer owners, loaded with good stuff.
