MX5 ...& batteries

Hey all, any of you using rechargeable batteries in the MX5 ..... & if so, what brand name & mah ratings have you tried that seems to work best ?

Got a MX5 coming to me after using a friends & really liked the overall feel & quick response of it.

Thanks

My MX5 is so easy on batteries that I will not get a rechargeable for mine, I have about 15 to 20 hours on my original batteries and used the back light last night for 3 hours and it has only dropped one bar on the battery meter. I really like mine with the 5.3 Eclipse coil, it has found 2 silver dimes in the iron trash and a handful of wheats. So far the MX5 is proving to be as efficient on batteries as my IDX Pro and it gets about 40 to 50 hours on a set.

Favorite setting:
Sens. 8 bars
Disc. wide open with all notches accepted
Tones: 2 Tone, I love this setting as you can hear the low tone iron and get a high tone for non-ferrous at zero and above.
Target Volume: 80
Threshold: 17
Ground Balance: I find a clean piece of ground in pinpoint mode and pump the coil about five times.

I still have the first set in mine. It has excellent battery life. Best rechargable batteries are Enloop's. I use them in my hunting electronics.

Thanks for the quick responses .... I've been using Enloop's in my other units including a F75 without issue but wasn't sure on a digital processed Whites.
Never hurts to ask ... BEFORE ... doing something :detecting:
