Mxt--AT-PRO

Well I would say that only if you want to go wade waist deep in the water, other than that , trading a MXT for a AT Pro is a big step backwards. Build quality is marginal and especially with the 8.5 x 11 DD Coil it is a very nose heavy machine, is hard to read the small VDI numbers and last but not least, it won't even come close to what the MXT can do when doing the NBPT with approx same size coils ( Whites Eclipse 5.3 vs Garretts 5x8 ) I even had the sniper coil and it didn't do well. Here is a link to explain what the NBPT is. http://www.ahrps.org/_tipsAndTechniques/Nail_Board_Performance_Test.pdf

Anyhow, just my thoughts. Had two AT Pros and got rid of both. I thought I would do some water hunting and never did.
If you plan on doing some detecting in water, I would get the AT Pro and keep the MXT. I wouldn't want an AT Pro as my only or primary machine.
