MXT Pro and Tones

Paul (IL)

Member
I am curious if the new tone id on the pro will id pennies dimes quarters and nickles by a different tone. I have heard different stories about this.

Thanks in advance for the info

If I remeber right, the dime and copper penny are alike and the rest should have some difference. The tones in the MXT are from the M6 which my girlfriend has.

Paul,
I've had my MXT Pro going on 2 months. In the C&J mode, the Quarter/Dime/Penny all seem to give the same HIGH pitched tone to me. However, the nickle gives off a noticeable and much different lower pitched "burp" sound. I really enjoy using this new machine and like the tone IDs, Ground Grab and Backlight. Hope this helps. CCH
