MXT PRO compared to any other detector.........

kickback

New member
In the past I've been guilty of asking for comparisons between different detectors. The MXT PRO with a similar sized and type coil will hunt with them all,top end detectors.I hunt an old park, for my area. The MXT PRO will hit every target I've found there just as deep, most of the time more accurately ID the target than the top of the line Garretts,Minelabs and Fishers I've used.It keeps up with my V3i.I don't end up with bottlecaps and aluminum screwcaps that ID as good targets(coins). The concentric coils help with the bottlecaps.

[size=large]Kickback, what's your soil like? heavy or light minerals? where are you in the country? if light then you get away with using your concentrics. here in s.w. WA. we have heavy mineralization so according to those who know more than i, the DD's are better suited. i can say i'm enjoying my D2 and haven't really tried my 5.3 or 950 very much. but it's very much better than my ml brand for various reasons in my book. i for one can't say enough of how much i've enjoyed my MXT PRO since i got it. here's hoping you enjoy yours for years to come.

well....I've had my mxt-pro for a month now....and i think it's the best m.d i could get for the that range of money. i search in very heavy meneralizied ground with a friend of mine in open fields ,not to far away from the sea in Sardinia. i use the original 12 " Coil Spider. my friend has a dfx.....believe me......i all ways beat him at the end of the day.

MXT PRO compared to any other detector......... Will hold its own and is a very good choice, IMHO.
