My 2006 treasure
After my first year I am starting to wonder.. exactly how long does it take to find the expensive diamond ring?
HawaiiT, I've been at it for almost 30 years and granted, while most of them were spent relic hunting, I have been hunting the beaches off and on over all of that time and pretty hard for the past few years (except for the past two). I have only found one really good diamond solitaire. A beautiful 1.5 carat. Tell you a funny story about it too. Had it appraised and, of course, my wife was wearing it. After the appraisal, I assumed that the setting had been checked really good but a couple of the prongs broke and the diamond was lost since my wife never noticed when it happened. We looked everywhere and finally gave up. About six months later, she calls me, all excited, and says she found the stone. It was in a file folder that she had pulled and six months went by before she pulled it again. She is going to have a ring designed for two stones, that one and another of the same size. Don't worry, your day is coming. Just wish I could be there to see your face. Still, you have made some great finds, and plenty of them. I think it will come sooner than you think.
