Sunday I tried a small wooded patch behind some new construction (got permission from the contractor). This spot was farm field up to the 1930's.
Started slow with only shot shell brass and a piece of spoon handle. First good target was an 1874 British LC.
Then about 10 feet away I popped an 1874 IH - same date as the LC. My last good target was an 1888 Canadian LC. Three different one-cent types from the same era. I thought that was pretty cool.
