This is a slick little piece if gear. It was too late to test it outside but I did hook it up to the SE and do some air testing. And I know..."air testing is useless", but from what I've seen so far, it's going to be pretty good. There was a small loss of depth in testing it in the house between the 10" Slimline coil and the 4.5 x 7 coil when set the same, which indoors was in Semi-auto with the coil in the middle of the room about chest high. But the small coil could be taken out of Semi-auto and run higher without going nuts like the bigger coils, so air-test depth loss was all but eliminated. We'll have to see how it does out in the field, but it seems that what Jerry (AKA Tinfoil) said about being able to "crank it up" with the small coil is true.
Here's the coil...looks pretty big, huh?[attachment 45384 4x7a.jpg]

Side by side with the 12.5 Excel and the 10" Slimline...not so big...but you know what they say about good things coming in small packages!

Another view. Oh, and this sucker is light to swing, as you can well imagine...like walking a poodle with a bulldog leash and collar!
