My BEST day EVER detecting

Today was a great day for me, I know it is my best detecting day EVER.........

Was at an old farm house and man this yard is loaded. Started off with a pocket spill under a large tree, it was 2 wheats and a 1929 buffalo nickel.

a few wheats here and there, then I got a 1940 mercury dime by the mailbox, went to the side yard, got a real faint deep signal. Out popped a 1906 Indian is super shape!

a couple more wheats, then my best find, this baby was the deepest coin I have ever got it was just such a faint whisper, but it locked on in every direction, about 9" down I got a 1882 seated liberty dime. This is my first seated, so I am on cloud nine!!!

ended up with 9 wheats, one indian, 2 silver dimes, and 1 buffalo.
what a good day!

fun to hunt virgin territory. My last site like that was more like a turkey shoot. I actually got rather tired of digging coins and rings (junker rings).

Old house yards are the very best hunting sites.

looks like I should have got a minelab a long time ago! I ran it in all metal so I could "pluck" the coins from all the iron, makes those silver dimes just sung out, I can't wait to go back, I have only done about 1/3 of the property. I am sure there is more to find!

Congrats goes4ever on finding the nice oldies! You still are finding the wheaties too....wheaties man! I would be on cloud 9 also if I had found the coins that you dug up! You are getting better and better at detecting!
