My Best Find With My EX II - post yours here!

...it was a record-breaking year for me. 197 silver, 137 Indians, many categories were smashed.

Here's my best for 2005. The 1923-S Standing Liberty and the 1916-D Barber quarters were in the same hole.

This was the last coin I found on 12/04/2005 - 1920-D Standing Liberty quarter.

i didn't get out much but when i did i was pretty lucky.:)hopefully next year will bring a shilling or a gold coin.:)

My wife swears everyone is makin' this stuff up  I told her, "Not Max!"

Speakin' of the wife, I made her laugh last night... She got a nice silver necklace as a gift and asked if I liked it. I told her all I could picture was how nice it would look in the bottom of my scoop. Seems that's how I rate jewelry now :)

Found This Silver Thimble Nov. this year at a construction site.[attachment 13350 Thimble1Web.jpg]

Tim,

That 19-D SLQ is AWESOME! I've been collecting that series for a very long time, and thanks to JH Cline, I know quite a bit about them. That is a great strike for that date/mint and very high grade.

Congrats on a great find!!

Jeff

Hey MJP,

Absolutely awesome finds, and congrats on such a great start to your Minelab career!

I've been collecting SLQ's for a very long time- your 20-D and 23-S are incredible. Those two are especially known for weak strikes, so the two you have are very high grade and worth some nice money.

Congrats!

Jeff

Thanks for the kudos. I'll never forget when I saw the date on this coin. If you can believe it it is my first SLQ. Guess that's the nice thing about living on the west coast....:)sssss

It looked this good I just washed it off. It has a trademark from Simon's of Philadelphia inside.

Since it's slow in here I thought I'd post mine. I know there's a picture of it a couple posts down but what the heck. 1879 $2.50 Gold Piece made into a "love token". Was hanging on a chain. When I found it the loop was worn in half (the reason it was lost in the first place) but it broke off by the time I got it home. Found out at the Great Salt Lake at one of the original resorts from the late 1800's.

My first "silver" dollar

Found in my own back yard in Pensacola Florida. It was inside a baby food jar at over a foot deep, no doubt it was buried there. Stock 10" coil in very neutral ground.
Although not RARE by any means, it put a huge :) on my face for several days.
