My day went from bad to much better in the end.

Will get to that in a few, first I need to post the best of the lot from my hunt on Sunday with MartyMoose, James31 and PocoBill.

Silver dimes found 2ft apart at 6" deep with CTX3030. :lmfao:

Also picked up a 1902 Indian head penny. Best condition one I've found so far. Found with CTX3030 at 3" deep. :tu:

Also forgot to post the silver ring I found last Thursday. It's marked "TRAD STER" inside, and I do not know yet if the stone is a real diamond yet. I've never seen a ring marked like that before, I know STER = Sterling silver but I have no idea what TRAD means. :tu:

-----------------------

Now for today. The day started off with me accidentally running a stop sign at a 4 way stop intersection and getting bump hit in the left from tire area at 9am PST this morning. From there I headed to the park that I discussed going to with MartyMoose and PocoBill. The first target near the sidewalk on the way in was a 1940 penny, which turned out to be the oldest find there.

I was working the bushes along a paved park pathway in the woods and got a loud signal which was not totally clean. I would have never thought this would pop out of the hole though.

A 1964/1864 Charlotte Town Quebec Canadian Silver Dollar with DOT. My first silver dollar, I'm now in the Dolla Club ladies and gents! :eek:mg: :hd3:

Here it is washed with soap and water.

I hit some bushed near a side street entrance and pulled this nice thin gold band ring with a heart on it at a 12-39 signal on my CTX3030. It was at about 4" deep. It has some marks, but not a karat mark that I can see. :gold:

A little while later while combing a 45deg earth bank among the roots and trees I pulled this rare coin along with probably 30 pennies. 1968 silver Canadian dime. Non-magnetic! :)

---------------------

After that I moved to another new park I've never been to. First target was a 1942 George VI penny and I felt this was a good spot. I headed straight across the park from that find and halfway across I hit silver again.

A 1958 silver Canadian dime. :tu:

No sooner than I had covered that hole, I heard someone calling at me. I turned around and a young lady and her daughter were walking up. She said she had seen me detecting at this park before, at which I had to correct her; as i had never been there before. To make a long story short, her young daughter had been playing with her older sisters ring and got mad at her, then tossed the ring at her. At which point the ring disappeared into the grass. They searched for it for hours but never found it. It had been 2 months ago, but she asked if I minded looking for it.

I told her I did not mind and would be glad to search for it. She offered to pay if I found it, but I refused politely. Good karma is better than money any day. She showed me the general area and I set to work. After 30mins I got a strong 12-01 signal on my CTX3030, brushed the grass aside with my pinpointer and there it was, plain as day sitting on the surface under the long grass. I returned to ring to the kind lady and got a picture of the ring for posterity. :yw:

Also forgot to post the surface find I got last week too.

Was lying in the rocks at low tide on the beach.

That does it for my story for this week. Hopefully next Sunday fairs as well. GL & HH all!

Not bad!

As best I can find out, the "Trad" simply stands for "Trademark"........I could be wrong.

Congratulations on the SILVER DOLLAR coin! :clapping: I'm gonna run a stop sign this am to see if it brings me as good as luck as it did you! Great write up and pictures, ring return, etc...I need to find some big paper money this am for the gas tank!
