My Deep Program

Architex

New member
After a year of tinkering here is a program that will hit a clad quarter at 13" in my 3 dot soil. WARNING - use only in areas of very low trash or it will drive you crazy.
Built on "Deep" factory program
Sens 95
Freq 7.7
FeVol 2
Reactivity 1 (sweep s l o w)
Silencer -1
Audio 3
Notch 0/0
Disc 5.5
Gnd Sens 5
TX 3
Gnd Bal Manual (adjust to neg 2)
Norm On
Tones Pitch 352
GL & HH.

what coil are you using?

11". Should have put that in there.

Thanks I have the 9” and HF elliptical

Impressive Architex, but would these settings be as effective on the LCs like gold and nickel. Wonder what would happen if we worked a small area at these settings then notched above about 74 where nickels begin to fall off or above about 83 where large gold rings fall off(norm on) which would also zilch at least some of the trash assuming you've already swept the first time for the deep HC's. Just a crazy thought. Seems like the toughest challenge for a SF machine is finding that sweet spot if you're wanting to find everything!

The trouble with notch, high reactivity and discrimination is that they hurt depth. Not good where you're trying to GET depth. I also have an EQ800 and it's no deeper in my soil.

You could try the same settings at 14 khz and see what happens. I'll bet it would be deeper. The only thing you can't do is adjust the TX setting. Heck, I think I'll try that.

Bump up the audio response to 5. It will make the deep ones louder. Just a thought.

Yup. That's on my "experimentation" list. BTW, thanks for your videos, a lot of my program came from them.

Your welcome. Let us know what it does for the signal.

Indeed a deep program Architex. Almost identical to one I use except I prefer multitones. I think R=1 is the key. I've tried R=0 but just too much ground feedback at that low setting for my liking. I am hoping that X35 coil is as quiet as they say it is. If R=0 is usable, there might be some extra depth possible on those high conductors using 4 kHz with the TX boost.

I agree I'm gonna buy the newer coils (x35) and hoping they are stable like the HF coils. I never used the 54 frequency so the new black coils should work perfectly here in Ohio.

Pretty sure the new black coils only go up to 28. But that's the best freq to use with the white HF coils anyway.

is this deeper than the gold prog ?which is an all metal prog

Exactly. Should be a good all purpose coil.
