Well my Deleon is going back to Tesoro ,I only got it on the first of this month.Its brand new and is experiencing a glitch in its display rate.While in disc mode the screen would freeze up showing the iron bar graph and iron Id of 0.But then it would not fade away after ten seconds.It did that first time I had it.I would get it to unfreeze by toggling between AM and DISC.I thought it was doing it awful lot and figured maybe it was picking up the safety steel toes in my work boots.Took it out again wearing just sandals this time,it worked fine for awhile.And then started freezing up in iron display again,it only seems to do it in iron display.It got to the point where i had to stop sweeping and wait for the screen to clear.Well I called Tesoro today and explained the problem,they said something might have got messed up in transit,and to send the unit back.Well the Deleon is going back,this is my first Deleon I will see how they do in solving the problem,and me as a customer.I hope they are as good as Whites,which I have the pleasure of dealing with in the past,and go above and beyond in making things right..I will see how Tesoro does,seeing how I am a new customer and see how they stand behind their product.Mean while I will get reacquainted with my Fisher 1236X2
 
well i'm sorry to hear that i've owned 5 and never had a glitch with either, but with tesoro's legendary service i'm sure they will put a smile back on your face!
 
I sent my D in for a general check and a ground balance adjustment. Got it back quickly, in good shape and only paid shipping one way.

Woodchuck, I have a DeLeon that sort of does the same thing. I think it is just too much iron in the ground--that crap is everywhere! I do the toggle thing too sometimes, but generally if you pass over a different target it will reset automatically and be fine. Let me know if Tesoro changes anything on your machine. I could send mine in too, if yours comes back a lot better than it went in...
