My detecting buddy Ken and I hit the ball field this morning..

Pete in MI

Here Ken is putting the Garrett GTAx 1250 through its paces. He found several bottle tops before he remembered, "Hey, I can notch them out". After he did that he had lots less trash to contend with.

Ken was doing the back area and I concentrated on the area near the road. Ken was pleasingly surprised to get both his first silver and religious medallion all in one. He got a sterling St. Christopher medallion...and a 1919 Wheat penny. Unfortunately, someone punched a hole in it.

Here's his St. Christopher medallion close up:

Ya done good Ken. Been a long time since we got out together to detect.

As ya see that ball field is still a great producer.

I was hoping that Ken had been finding things.

When I saw him digging I asked God to be sure to let Ken get some finds...God answered as you saw.

We need to get out more often Ken. Thanks for the hunt and the lunch.
