My Find with the New Lone Star

I was covering ground in the yard that I had allready covered with the Tracker IV. One area was worked hard with the Tracker but I figured I had a time so why not. The Lone Star hit on the first swing! The tone said silver, the id said silver and I thought I would get more clad for the trophy jar. I started diging. I got to about 7 inches and started thinking another deep beer can was in my future. Then in the next scoop i saw a stone. Not a rock but a diamond. Probably now real but I dont know how to tell. That stone was mounted next to 2 others in a huge (ugly I might add) ring. It weighs just shy of an oz. I cant beleive the tracker let me down. Im glad it quit on me now. Im hooked. This is what I consider a good find for my second day of hunting. Best thing is my little girl (7 yr old) was there with me. I did a little victory dance. What do ya think.

Did you see if there are any markings on the inside of the ring? Silver rings normally carry a 925 stamp on the inside of band somewhere(but not always)and gold carry the "K" number on the inside of theirs. If the ring is valuable enough for real diamonds the settings are almost always marked. Some older setting are exceptions. No matter if it is real or not VERY COOL find at some impressive depth I may say. Great job. If this one isn't big $ the next one may be for you. Happy swinging.
