Hi all,

Well this is my Silver finds from Oct. 08 thur May 09 . All found on beaches of Southern California. The 14K gold necklace in the center I found a week ago. Five small Silver rings and both silver bracelets I found within the last three days. all found with my Safari. along with over $75.00 in change, not including pennies. This would be over a ten day period. I'm retired so I get to hunt everyday all day. Not bad for off season hunting. Sure hope the Gold picks up more. all the other silver rings and charms, and pieces were still found with a Minelab detector. This Safari is a great machine, these small rings it's finding are smaller then a dime. Most were around 6 to 8 inches. I'm going to order the 15x18 DD Excelerator coil for the wet sand hunting. Most hunters I see are using Minelabs with 15'' coiltec so I need to be able to hit those deeper rings too. Good luck to all, Gene

The Safari is doing a great job for you! Keep up the great "positive" posts.

Hey Gene when did you take that picture? I'm a young retiree, 55 yrs old and I haven't looked that young since I was 30. Perhaps it was the 20 years I served in the USMC or perhaps its your California lifestyle. lol

Great finds, are you using the Quattro or the Safari and how long have you been using it. Why did you choose this machine over the Sov? Best to all, Mike.

Gene some nice jewelry there with that Safari and $75 in coins. That is some good detecting. I am glad to see some good posts on the Safari. Yikes an 18" coil gads you must have a shovel to dig with or your wife is digging for you. I am thinking of going the other way to a 6" coil. I had a 6" on a few of my other detectors and it is a nice coil to use.
I thought I was doing good with $11 in coins, 1 - 925 ring, 1 toe ring, 2 kids rings.
I have really dug some deep targets with the Safari. I am still getting built up for this summer. I can only stay out about 2 hours. My legs, arms and hands are really taking a beating with those deep targets.
I am retired also and getting out much more this year.
thanks again for sharing.....Z

Wow!! Those are some amazing finds.

I miss hunting the southern California beaches myself! I used to live in Reseda, so I would often head out to Malibu beaches a lot. Found lots of good jewelry there, including a dainty ladies gold watch with several small diamond chips surrounding the face.

Keep up the good work!

Ray

Heah Ray,

I wondered where my wife lost that gold watch......Ha Ha. Just kiddin'. Thank all, sure hope you start getting the goodies too. The crowds are starting to show up in force now so things should start dropping besides bikini's. Some of these girls around here don't put much money into the swim wear. I'm not complaining ya know. So Gentleman! Start your detectors, summer is here. Gene

That is the glorious thing about beach detecting. One seems to never get tired of looking. :yikes:...Z

Those are very nice finds, I lived in Napa when I was a kid. Those were some of the best times of my chilhood life, I live 3000 miles east in Ma. About 130 miles away from Cape Cod beaches where I like to detect. Gene, How close are you to the beaches? I've really grown to appreciate Z and his humor :clapping: He is right about deep finds. The safari is the light and its the first detector that give me a good workout on the beach. And also on land from digging so many targets. Keep up the good finds Gene!! Ron :detecting:
