I have just had my first swing of my sleek black beauty; ( Explorer SE.)
I reckon that it has improved stability, it seems to have a more reliable tone ID response, and I love the VCO pinpointing ~ especially with my Sunray X-1 pinpointer.
Also being able to get my threshold down lower than previously possible is a good thing for me.
I'm still getting used to the new "menu browsing," but so far I'm impressed but have only had a brief 1/2 hour of detecting.
I recovered three pulltabs,a brass nut and bolt,an Aussie 1 cent coin, a 3 inch long by 1/2 inch dia piece of lead tubing, plus the best find for the day, an Australian collectable 1950's Streamlux brand lead toy model of a Massey Ferguson 35 tractor.
I was careless, and made contact with the lead tractor while recovering it; { a mistake that I really regret folks...}
I mostly use the smartfind screen so the new larger fonts seen in digital mode have not been an issue to me,I see the lack of icons as less clutter, and I feel that they were some-what vague anyway.
The depth indicator seemed to be more stable as I swung to and fro over targets also compared to my Exp.II.
I really like it...
