my first attempt at making a display case for my relics

ok this is my first attempt, I have several neat old finds, and they are just laying around in boxes, I wanted to be able to put them in a case, how did I do for my first attempt? I need a few more things on the right side it looks a little empty on that side

Looks very good to me and only needs maybe a couple of things, but doesn't need a lot or it will look crowded! Congrats on making a nice display! Better than in drawers or bags like mine are! :) God Bless! Betty

Good job for your first one. Remember that in a display there should be areas of rest for the eyes, dont fill every space up. My old art teacher said "something big, somethinmg small, something solid, something textured, something near, something far".

It's so much more interesting when one can see our finds on the wall instead of inside a drawer. steve in so az

Nice display. After the work of finding and digging our finds up, it is good to be able to display them to look at once in awhile and show off to others. Thanks for the post.
 
the main rason I made it was to show homeowners where I am asking permission to hunt. Because the number one question I get asked is "what ya hunting for"? or "what kind of things do you find"?
and when they ask that, I can go to my car and show them just some of the things I have found, some people think there is nothing to be found in their yard, so I want to show them there is a lot more than just old coins to be found!
 
Nice idea, goes4ever, and showing someone what you find is better than trying to tell them, as visual peaks their interest!
