I went for 3 hour spin today ,The water was dead calm ..Perfect conditions . Not a ripple .About 20 minuets into the hunt I get this lunker in my scoop . very first class ring 10 K.. 18.3 Grams,, scrap, its worth 222.00. But Im going to try and find the owner. Guzz1:clapping:

Seems llike I already said this but congrats Gary

Congratulations! And what a nice guy you are to go looking for the owner. It just goes to show the quality of the people who enjoy our hobby (that being said if you dont find the guy melt that sucker. hehehe) Im still waiting to find my first class ring but, when I do I will also try to find the owner. You should talk with Scuba...hes the master of the ring return.

Now that is one fine ticket Guzz and a challenging predicament, as well. If you give up $220, yer a better man than I! That makes me sweat just thinking about it!

Fantastic find!! 18.3 grams is HUGE. You don't have me beat yet though!!! I just gave up 371.00. That was one ring alone. I don't even want to think of the last 6 I returned total weight!!!!

Nope, They belong to somebody that has memories, hopes and dreams. Your a great person to return it. Hope you get a great story!! Congrats.

The best feeling I get is when someone comes up and ask you to look for a ring or whatever and then see their face when you find what they have lost. I had an experience when a fellow did just that .He had lost a ring in the water his grandfather had given him. It took about 15 minutes but finally got a signal and dug down and looked in the scoop. There it was a gold band with diamonds around the entire ring. He hadn't seen it yet because he was at the shore line. I held out the scoop and he picked it out. The smile on his face said it all. I wouldn't have traded that for twice the amount of the ring. Its a cool feeling...

I have found 8class rings in three years and returned 7and asked for nothing in return. You do get that great felling for doing the right thing . Then soon after there, always seem to be a huge reward show up in the bottom of my scoop.
