My first coin with the 11" coil :cheekkiss:

I just went out under a hemlock I have in my front yard. Now I have absolutely pounded this with 5 different Minelabs and a Tesoro. I never find anything now that I have "cleaned it out" with the other machines.

Well I started in 8k 0 reactivity and nothing. Just a 10ft x 10ft area but I have pulled dozens of Indians out of my entire yard.

I then switched to Deus fast and only changed the frequency to 12K and Bam!! There it was singing loud and clear at 7".

Cool detector, Cool coil!!!

BTW its an 83

Wow...Now that's an awesome find with the new coil! Although this just added to my cabin fever...

Haven't had an open patch of ground here since early October. :\

Having missed that with multiple Minelabs and a Tesoro, now that speaks volume about the Deus!

Very nice!

The big reason I missed it before was the rusted button that was just above it.

One thing that is good to remember, if its trashy or you think its trashy, stand in one spot and sweep, now bump up the reactivity one or 2 points and sweep it again. If you hear more targets or it cleans up the sounds a bit, you know that in that lower reactivity setting you were using that you were missing targets.

Just another reason I am so fond of the Deus!

Awesome find Jeff! The 11" coil will change the way other manufacturers design new products - everyone else to some extent or another will have to follow in the wake of the Deus's success! Higher reactivity settings = reopening of new sites! I hope the weather cooperates so more finds for all of us will start coming in droves!

If it does not rain tomorrow I will be out again. I did hunt more today at a school from the 1950's. Funny we drove around trying to find a little bare ground! Ended up finding a small pine tree an I managed a Wheat.

Tomorrow will be better.

Nice goin Jeff!
How do you like the new headphones?

Aaron

I didn't like them at all. I tested them here at home and sold them two days later. Not for me. Today I used a pair of over the ear, ear buds. They have much better sound than the CP6. All I did was buy an adapter.

That was in my front yard before this last cold spell. I tried to sink my Predator shovel in this past weekend with no luck. Gonna try a different place this weekend.

I agree. Finding out it's not all about depth in those trashy areas.
I went through a small old church yard with my typical reactivity 2 silencer 2 coin program and nothing. Then changed to deus fast and dropped frequency down to 12kh. (I'm familiar with id numbers at 12kh). I also notched out 0-30 to cut back on small chatter (keeping standard disc. 6.8 ) and just started sorting through the trash.
Just found two coins but they were both wheaties 1951 & 1946 so I know there's silver in there and WILL be going back.

My compadre was really good at picking out the goods but the deus just adapts to any conditions.
Really loving it these days!
Sorry to rub it in but our northern ca. Weather was a near perfect 68deg. And sunny :)

My 11" was here when I got home this evening. It's charging now!

I can't say because I did not get the 9" coil out to try. I will say that the coin was not "out of the range" of the 9" coil. If I had to guess I would say it would. have found it. Its not an outstanding find but I was happy with it. My last Etrac I had was an Indian as a first coin but that machine Definitely missed this Indian. I was over that coin many times with the last 2 Etracs I had and 2 Explorers. All 4 of those machines with the 6" coil only seen the iron.
