My first, crack of dawn hunt for the summer....

Cant do much walking this summer, need another knee replacement. So time is short and just hit the populated areas.

Timing is everything. When people ask me about metal detecting, I always ask if they ever found a $20 ?? $10 ?? $5 ???
If the answer is NO, don't bother, Just have to be the kind of person that finds things.....

It was a glorious morning, as I stepped on the beach, I scanned around to see what goodies were left from the night before.
Been to the beach a few times prior but couldn't even find a penny. So I didnt have any hopes of finding much.
You can tell the hobby is winding down. Not one other guy detecting on a Sunday morning. Temps were in the 90's yesterday
and there was a decent crowd. I woke up at 3:30, natured called. and I decided to stay up, have a bite to eat and hit the beach
for my maiden voyage this year. I knew I couldn't walk too far , so I just went down to the blanket line. Just as I get to the wet sand,
I look down and sitting in the hole, a first, is this $20. !!! Geez, I really needed that !!! What a great way to start the new season.
I think it was a bit windy last night. Thank God for the hole !!!! I guess some people are still using cash. Must have been some kid
with no credit cards !!!!!

Just as I get to the wet sand,
I look down and sitting in the hole, a first, is this $20. !!! Geez, I really needed that !!! What a great way to start the new season.

VERY Cool Donna!! I had same thing happen a few weeks ago when the wife and I went to Lowe's. We're outside in the garden area and she's looking at potted flowers. I always tend to look at the ground, because I've found things that way over the years. Out of the corner of my eye, I spot a greenish piece of paper lying on the ground, under a rack that holds the potted plants. I move closer and see that it looked like a folded up $20 bill.

But I thought no way, it's probably one of those fake bill advertisements where you unfold but it's not a real bill, but an advertisement for a local business. So, I didn't have my hopes up, but after I picked up the bill and unfolded, there wasn't any advertisement inside, it unfolded to be a real $20 bill. Sometimes it pays to be scanning the ground, lol.

Absolutely the BEST when its real !!! I got one of those $100 bills. It looked sooo good til I flipped it over !!!!

It's always good when I find money in my suit jacket or around the house, but that's just my money that I previously misplaced. But finding money on the ground, that's NEW money, lol.
