Had a rare chance to check a private preschool that had been around 30 years, so I thought I'd give it a shot. First I tried to use a screwdriver to find the coins, etc., but that wasn't working. I had a D handle shovel and busted it out. Much better. I was able to get a descent size plug and flip it to one side. Then used my freebie pin pointer from Kelley co and was able to locate the targets fairly quickly. I was using my 5x10" infinium dd coil. Not a lot there. A few pieces of a can, some tent spikes, a few old rusted things, 6 pennies, and a very unusual token. It is from the Kilauea Military Camp from the Volcano National Park. It was corroded but you can make out the volcano and the writing.
I was happy to find something, but I must admit that I'm not a fan of the dirt. Without a shovel it would have been a tough. Until I can pick up something like an AT Pro, I'll probably stick to the sand and water.
