My first hunt

for 2011,like mudpuppy said its pretty nice in Mi. right now.Two days of rain and 40-50 deg. weather,it finally happend.Woke up new years morning sun shining,balmy 33 deg.Whent to the front yard with my lesche,stuffed it in the ground........Yhea sunk to the handle!!!!! Next stopp my fav. little ball park.Two hours latter,9 pennys,3 nickles,1 quarter,and holly cow,my first HALF DOLLAR I was beside myself!!!!! not silver[71]but still my first.I am thinking this new year is going to be great.Hope I can get back out tomorrow(got some bowl games to watch) Thats one thing I love about this state,if you dont like the weather just wait abit and it will likely change.I hope everybody out there has a great new year.............hh rick in mi.

I dont remember wen i found me last 1/2 , But yes it will be a good year, So tell me im thinking of getting a F-75 SE is the SE more stable???

Glad Mickfin found this post. I apparently missed it back on 1/1...maybe with good reason. Just kidding on that. I think any half find deserves a congrats. I have actually found more silver ones then clad, but neither comes along all that often. Nice way to start the hear off. HH jim tn

Mickfin from what I understand the se is the same as the ltd.My settings vary from one location to another,but a good start is with factory default,crank it up or turn it down from there,but dont give up!!!..hh rick in mi. (thanx jim tn)

Rick...I dont know how much more of this I can take! Should have listened to Zeekeys and hung it up...I did find a 53 rosie at a boatramp this year...but am really thinking of heading South before this Alberta clipper hits us Tuesday...hope your getting some ice fishing in brother!

HAHA just got off the ice for awhile pretty windy today,and snowy,yea I know all about those clippers!!!! Thats funny I was talking to my nefew just last night over an adult bev.and we are putting together a trip to tenn.in feb.He goes down every year to watch the bristol race[ I think ]and has a friend that lives down that way,am thinking he said Greensville,or somthing like that!! So just maybe I can get some detecting in before I go bonkers!! hh rick in mi.
