my first large cent

I was so excited I could hardly talk. my goal this year was to get my first large cent . Was six inches down not in the best shape but was able to get a date of 1857 my oldest coin yet. got it with my new etrac
 
Congrats on the large cent. Could be more there plus indian head pennies and seated liberty silver too. Not all are 6" deep, I dug a large cent today less than 2" deep in soft soil in the woods.
 
Way to go Tom. Can you read the Liberty on the head band? Folks I know this dude, honestly same last name but a total stranger till last year maybe? We get out on grand adventures and Tom has a finely tuned ear for ferreting out coins. He often trumps me on shear numbers. Congratulations Tom , wish I was there to see the look on your face. there may be ways to clean that up yet some. Good Hunts, CO
