I found my first medieval coin last weekend at my first rally, which I have been to. It was a Christian the 2th. silver cutting coin, Malm

Hey Michael!

Nice finds and thanks for information about the rally.I see now I should have joined the rally.
Congratulations!!
Can I ask how much your first reward are for a coin like that?

Wish we could have that system in Sweden. But I guess it will never happen:(

Enviable finds Michael!
You folks have historical artifacts that we can only dream of.

Hi Michael,
Some of the other detectorists said, that it would be around 150 - 200 Dkr for that coin.....not much...but okay, then you also get a letter from the museum, where they explain in detail what it is, that you have found. The more rare the relic is, the greater reward.......but you will not be a millionare from detecting relics in Denmark...like some people in England has been.....but you will have pleasure of contributing to the cultural heritage of Denmark.
There also was found , 1 bronze age relic, 2 viking relics and about 8 medieval coins, medieval stuff, and several coins after 1536.....some in thin silver........ The one I found from 1662 was in very thin silver......and my 12 x 13 7,5 kHz no no coil had no problem finding it ;-) So I am still in doubt about getting the 18,75 kHz ;-)
There was 3 other Swedes detecting at the rally...nice people..........so maybe we will see eachother next time?

Those are amazing finds. I can't even imagine finding something that old. It sure won't happen here but you have just added Denmark to one of my travel goals. Great hunt and congratulations on your finds !!!

Thanks guys ! I also went detecting wedensday on a local field. I found 1 Rigsbank Skilling from 1818 (coin) and a Swedish 2

Michael!
Looks like it was a nice rally, with great finds.
Even if the reward not give a big amount of money it sure
gives you the pleasure of letting other people enjoy the finds as well.

I know there must be great finds to be made in Skane,Sweden. I know there was a
Danish detectorist being arrested whilst detecting a field in Falsterbo in broad daylight, unaware
of the Swedish laws, thinking we have the same rules as Denmark. Very innocent in my book. Also he did find medivial coins and old relics.

I have been to some fields in Norway very close to the Swedish border.A lot of older Swedish coins have been found. And some more new Noweigian coin.
Will post pictures later.

I think you will like the 18.75 kHz no-no coil. Very sensitiv. It picked up some hammered coins easily.
But the WOT is also fantastic, got

Hi again,
sadly enough september don't allow me to detect much due to my work. I'm very busy at that time.......on top of that....more than half of our family including my self have birthday in that month....so I would not be popular if I went on a large detecting vacation in the few sparetime I have in september
Hmmm......I think the HF no no coil still will be in my mind then ;-) Now that I got the MF no no coil...I don't see any point in buying the WOT coil.
Regards
Michael L
