My first relic hunt with my new Tejon.

My new Tejon performed perfectly.I packed my gear on my moped.I randomly picked a wooded area in a know colonial period area.I had the tejon with elliptical 10x5,jolly roger ultimates, plugged into the koss v-20 volume control. The tejon was so smooth.I was hitting deep small lead,no modern day trash to be found.I ran in all metal, then pull the trigger and check target in disc.Or hunt in low disc and pull trigger and check target all metal.Well the detector was doing good but no sign of colonial life yet. Then a sweet smooth tone.Musket ball!.ok not the best thing but a good sign.well i hit a old ax head. Then i found one more musket ball. Then i was tired. But the Tejon did great:razz:!

I like those ax heads and any lead balls like that you know its not been hit by others Good finds, plus i think if any gold is around you will have a very good chance of hitting it with that 17khz nice to have the ability to change modes with a trigger to .

you guys out east and northeast make me sick always getting the goodies " just kidding ! " but congrats on the find there . I finally found an old homestead site that I am trying to locate the owner to get permission to hunt it the home looks to have been built in the late1800"s and early 1900"s

Love that lead. How deep did that coil hit musket balls? You have got to show us a pic of you on that Moped loaded with gear!

That's super duper day in anybody's book.

[attachment 254001 20130108_093435.jpg] I went back in to the snake infested possible colonial site.I covered it pretty good. But would you look at the small lead that the tejon picked up.I also found an old railroad spike. Here is a pic of a 1702 colonial coin i found near this area with a Vaquero last year :O

Thats a cool ride. We still want to know how deep on the musket balls with the 10" coil?

You know i am not sure of the depth. You know the tejon hits solid lead musket balls deep.l was using a pistol probe pinpointer. That pistol probe is good for deep small target pinpointing .Well i have to find a new location with more possible colonial artifact targets, there were hardly no targets at this last site.I really like this tejon.I think the tejon is the boss hog detector of all. :O
