My first shield nickel

JMorgan

New member
I was hoping for some civil war relics but I was lucky just to find this. Good spots are getting harder and harder to come by. 1867 nickle....you just have to trust me on the date.

I see the date very well and congratulations on the shield, that is a nice one...

Nice find, way to go!
HH!

Great find. That would be a good day for anyone.

:clapping: Oh WOW! I love to see the older nickels rescued from the ground. And that's one beautiful Shield nickel. Did you do the "Happy Dance"? I would have. The Shield nickel is the first type of nickel made and you don't see many surface anymore. HH, Nancy
