Went out to the 2nd oldest county park in Wisconsin today, and had a great time! My buddy, Russ Balbirona, found two silver Mercury dimes today, and a 1944 silver quarter, along with several wheat pennies. He was only out for two hours, but park was beautiful, so I spent the rest of the day. I was on a mission to get a silver coin, and boy did I!!!!! I scored a 1909 Silver Barber dime!!! 104 year old coin!!!! Also dug a lot of shotgun shells and bottle tops, but it was worth it!

Not bad for my first EVER silver, eh? Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!! :yo:

(Threw in a shot of where I was hunting)

Nice one! Getting silver is great, and getting a coin that is over 100 years old in good condition is always fantastic. Keep it up.

Thanks so much, guys!!! It's great finding these gems, and it just adds to the fun when you can share with all the other addicts that do this! :beers:

Congrats Stilpony !!:clapping: I still remember my first B dime as if it were yesterday, it was next to the base of a small fir tree about 4" down. At first glance I thought it was some kind of a foreign coin. I'd never seen one before. May many more come your way. :detecting:
