My first silver ever....yeah, EVER!!!! :beers:

That is one sweet coin my friend! glad to see your picking up on this addiction fast.I havnt been swinging much cause been working a ton of hours.I guess I will have to take a road trip, first stop Muskegon and help mud with all the silver he is finding and then up to Wisconsin to help u with the silver ur finding!!! haha hh rick in mi.

Then I'm yer huckleberry! I am concerned about all the crosstalk and chatter that might occur hunting with you two, not from the machines either!
It would be a good equipment test of an area if you think about it, Rick with his 75, me with the 70 and Jake with the 5...see what settings work on the targets and all..
Looks like its a "rain" day for all three of us today...

Yes, rain here! Won't be a problem once I get the AT Pro or AT Gold, just haven't figured out which one I want yet. I want a machine that I can "safely" enter the water with, and something that isn't afraid of the rain. (ok, it's more me afraid of taking the F5 OUT in the rain)
I wanted a decent back up machine, so I figured I would try and kill a couple of birds with one stone; 1) back up machine in case the F5 needs to go in. 2) Something for my wife to use if she goes along. 3) Something that will allow me to hunt in the rain when all those beautiful areas are normally will with people, and 4) Allow me to hit the beaches and wade out for jewelry!

Do any of you guys have experience with either of these machines, or is there another machine in the $500-$600 price range that can handle the water AND land????

Yes, I know this is the wrong forum for this, but I do have it posted on the ATP/ATG forum, too, but thought I would hit my buddies up with the question. :beers:

A poster on the modification forum (Timmysys) did waterproof an F70 a few years ago. Sure, I got a Pro, yes it paid for itself in the water deeper than the 70 could be safely taken. Yes its wonderful to be able to hunt in the rain, increases your year for hunting and not sitting. I followed the Pro forum when they first came out, and cannot dispute the finds...MISilverseeker just sold his 70 and got a Pro. I wished I'da seen that post sooner, because I would have seriously entertained the idea of trading him my Pro for his 70 and waterproofed it myself. The big thing is time afield, I can only hunt very early mornings, then when the sun comes up, it gets too hot for me, and the beaches get packed, so I either have to go in the water or go home...that's the reason for me getting the Pro. I have to believe Fisher is working on something along these lines, and it will be killer, probably good to 20' which will be great for the fresh water shallow divers as well as the waders and will not cannibalize the CZ21 sales at all. I will still get another 70 when the opportunity presents itself just for a backup rig. You should take some time and not jump the gun, learn that 5 really well, the best time for wading up here is in the Fall anyway, that's when the water is the warmest, and you can get by with bagging the 5 to rain hunt until then...and, there will be plenty of Pros for sale on the classifieds all summer, always is, just sayin'...

You done good...real good.
CongratZ!

Thanks Revier! (you, too, Cajun!)

Yeah, I was a little surprised, too. Funny thing was that I was done for the day and just headed back to the car, but like anybody with the "sickness", I have to be swinging my detector while I walk. :detecting: I always think that I'm stepping over the find of the day when walking on grass and not swinging! lol
