My first silver half

Took the AT to a old farm house that a friend lives in. It was raining but not enough to get the ground wet past 2 inches. I found a 1917 walking liberty half at about 4 inches with the 5x8 coil. almost didn't dig cause it was so loud. Glad I did. I was shaking for about a hour afterwards lol. Found 2 wheat pennies from the 40's also. Going back next weekend.

Very Nice!! I hear 'ya re: almost not digging because it sounds 'too good' - I have to turn the mind off and just dig!!

Ya it sounded loud thought it was a can or something. When i pinpointed the depth stayed the same as when i would go over it so i dug it. Numbers were 85-91. the numbers bouced a little too. And i put the pinpointed to the ground to see if it would go off before I dug. It didnt. After i washed the mud off it, I see i hit it with the digger. I make too small of holes. I need to start making bigger holes.
