I decided to give Golden Gate Park a rest today and ventured over to another park that I had scouted some time back. Well I wasn't disappointed because in less than an hour into the hunt I found my first ever silver Washington quarter (1936 P). That was the first and last of the old coins, but I did find some other interesting items throughout the hunt - 1) a vintage lipstick tube; 2) 1963 Ford Galaxy radio face plate; 3) a very large John Adams president medallion; and 4) a old neckerchief slide. The John Adams medallion is in pretty beat up, but I would be be very appreciative if anyone has any information on its origin . I also can't identify the maker of the lipstick tube, but my best guess is that its made by Guerlain, given the G logo at the top. Finally there was a part number on the back of the radio face plate that, with the help of a Ford fan website, I used to positively identify that it came from a 1963 Ford Galaxy. In summary is was an exiting day of hunting, and the evening detective work makes this hobby even more fun.
Cheers,
Alex
