9/14/08 These pix are from my garden apartment that is in the first building facing River Road in Schiller Park IL. My apartment was the only building that didn't take on any water!!! My building is on a tiny hill, that was the only thing that saved me, well and a ton of prayers.

View from my bedroom window.

Yep, when I got home from work in the morning the road wasn't flooded. The river is like 100 yards in the woods. I was wokenup by a firefighter at 2:30pm pounding on my window. He said if water gets in my apartmen, they are gonna kill the power to the building and I would have to evacuate!!! So I started putting my stuff up on the table, counters, desk, wherever I could. I knew the river was going to get high, but I had no idea it would be that bad!!!

That sure is a lot of water ! The Lord kept you safe . I used to live in N Ill about 3 blocks from the Miss R - every year the water came up into main street. Glad you are safe (& dry), steve in so az

TreasureFiend, Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for keeping you safe from the flood! The love of God is mighty in pulling down strongholds and He pulled the flood back from getting into your place!
