Mike, Terry and I hunted two old houses on Friday as a pre-forum hunt. My take was a nice victorian sash buckle, a 1946 silver Rosie, a 1944 wheat, and two MO sales tax tokens.

My better finds from the forum hunt on Saturday. 9 wheats (mostly teens) 2 Indians 1888, 1890, a play coin, 3 rings, one silver, one copper and one gold.

On the way home from the forum hunt Mike Terry and I stopped by a 1908 school and I squeeked one keeper out. A 1906 Indian.

Sunday Mike and I hunted for only two hours at a former forum hunt site and I got two wheats 1910, 1917 and a 1949 D silver Rosie, and a small Catholic pendant.

Monday we got in the water and I got 26 coins including a 1947 nickel, a big copper bead, a hoop ear ring, a dollar bill, a Matchbox car, and a mini key.
It sure was a blast digging each day with Mike and the others. Looking forward to the next time.

Very nice finds, congrats on a great weekend

Doing good all you professional detectorists...............wish I could have been there.......but my traveling and hunting days are over and this ole lady has to retire from a wingin' and a diggin', but hope each of you continue to treasure hunt for years and years to come in good health and find lots and lots more goodies! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Most people don't realize that gold ranges from way down the scale like foil to way up the scale like silver.
Shawano wears a white gold band that is lighter than mine and rings as a 2 on the digital on the Explorer.
My heavy yellow gold size 12 1/2 rings as a 23 like an indian.
A one dollar gold coin rings like a nickel (5), and a $20 gold coin is like a silver coin (2:geek:.
I also think depending on the KT it will change also.
The one I found hit like a zinc penny not silver. Though it was not heavy, it was a wide band.
After looking at it with a loop, it has no other color.
I will probably take it to my jeweler to have it electronically tested.
I tested 3 places on it with acid and it was good every time.
