My GPZ 7000 Settings

Settings on the GPZ are for mineralization, not types of things you are looking for. The only discrimination available on the GPZ is the tones. Generally hi-lo means small item, and lo-hi means big item. By using the less sensitive settings in theory you can reduce sensitivity to really small stuff if that was desired. The Extra Deep gold mode would be a better choice than High Yield if a person wanted to avoid really small ferrous trash. As a rule I would consider the GPZ to be to hot on tiny stuff to be a good relic hunter but by digging only lo-hi tones a person might have some success.

I personally just hunt for precious metals; gold, silver, or platinum, natural or man-made.
