My hubby took our Toyota truck up to a garage to have a few minor things done on it...

breaks checked, tires rotated etc. He told them I'd come by today and pay the bill and then I would run him up there tonight so he could pick it up. Well we went to the grocery store then I ran him up to the shop. I left out ahead of him and got home and no Rick. I kept waiting but he never showed up. Finally he called and said right after he left the garage the front wheel flew off. Boy what a mess. It came totally off, broke off whatever lugs they had actually put back on (I think just one) the bare wheel skedded down the road several yards, bent the bumper all up, tore off the wheel trim, warped the driver's door. We were out there til well after midnight trying to get the truck towed back to the shop. So many people were so nice to come along and help us though. I appreciate that.

WE seem to be having a lot of this kind of luck lately....

Did they put the wheel back on right. Sounds like they messed something up.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck and problems with your truck and I pray all goes well in getting it fixed and the shop manager will repair it without cost to you, for it is definitely their fault! So many who work in anything today, seem to rush through it and really don't repair things that are broken down or just need to pass inspection! The bosses are told to rush the customers through fast and be darn with fixing it right! My brother had worked for Dobbs Tire and he wanted to make sure things were fixed correctly, but he was too slow as far as they were concerned and were letting go but to another shop where most of the workers would be fired! Push them through repaired or not and let them come back with any problems! I was raised up to do a good job in whatever I did and to do it well! But these days it is quanity and not quality! May God have mercy upon us everyone! Amen! Ma Betty

to get it back together. They took full responsibility and said they'd fix it with all new parts and get the body work done. It's gonna need some major work now.

I sure hope they make things right. Let us know. Glad no one was hurt!

I lost a wheel once going down the road at 35 mph. I lucked out and was able to ride it out and keep that corner up. When I finaly landed the only damage was to the brake backing plate and I was able to straighten that out and drive home, after finding the wheel 6 blocks up. Some guy saw it happen and picked me up and drove me to my wheel, I would have looked for an hour.

Best Luck
Jeff
