My last 2 hunts in the woods

For the past year at work I have been driving by some public woods several times a week until one day in Feb I noticed a stone fireplace all by itself about 40 yards off the road back in the woods. I got doing some checking and sure enough their use to be a house there as far back as 1930 so Tue after work I went and checked it out and I'm glad I did. I was out there for about 4 hours and I found a silver Washington quarter, 2 merc's, a War nickel, 3 other nickels from the 40's an 50's, 14 wheat's, a Bar token and a 10 cent play money from 1954.

I went back Wed night after work and found another Washington quarter, 2 Merc's, a rosie, 9 wheat's and a telephone poll tag from 1958.

I still have a lil more to MD there and then I'll go back over it again the other way, I'm sure I missed things. It's not easy to do a good grid pattern in the woods, lol

Scott you don't ever hear about my bad hunt's, just the good one, lol. Last Sat I spent all day MDing in 2 farm fields and all I found was 4 wheat's and a Rosie.

Something that I like to say while I'm MDing is,,,, HI Ho Silver,,,, if you say it enough times it seems to work, lol

I just told a guy that I work with that we're like gamblers. You only hear about our winnings.

Every time one of us finds one of those play dimes we always think we have a half dime.
